2017-09-01 - Microcystin Water Test Results

On August 29 the lake association took representative water samples from both lakes 1 and 2 and sent them for Microcystin testing. The results were received today. Lake 1 results were 0.801µg/L, and Lake 2 results were 1.25µg/L. The drinking water standard is 1.50µg/L and recreation use is 20.0µg/L. The lake association does not recommend drinking water from the lakes and if you are using the water for recreation, please avoid areas where there are any traces of algae scum.
