News > 2018-04-25 - Brockton Council Approves Funding for 2018 Water Testing
The Brockton council has approved a $2,000 grant to help offset costs of the LRPOA and Marl Lake water testing costs for the 2018 calendar year. The LRPOA and Water Committee prefer to operate their own water testing procedures using trained volunteers to ensure fast and cost effective collection of water samples can continue through 2018. This approach doesn't involve any government agencies or added administration; water samples are submitted directly to certified water testing laboratories.
LRPOA President Pat Mulhern welcomes Brockton's support. He goes on to say "We would like to thank you (Brockton Council) for your support and approval of the motion to help fund our water monitoring programs. The funds will be of great assistance in carrying out our plan to improve and monitor the water quality at Lake Rosalind and Marl Lake."
